ECA Energy Efficiency Scheme

Successful Assessment under the Electrical Contractors Association's Electrical Energy Efficiency Scheme and Competent Person Status.  

A&B Engineering has been given ‘Competent Person Status' which enables them to self certify works in compliance with Part L2A & L2B of the Building Regulations.

Local authorities are required by law to maintain records of all work carried out which is subject to the Building Regulations. As a company A&B Engineering are now registered under the Electrical Energy Efficiency Scheme operated by Electrical Contractors Association's and approved by the Department for Communities and Local Government to report projects to the appropriate Local Authority. Under the assessment and approval A&B Engineering is allowed to self certify works within all the ECA's scheme categories, namely Lighting, Heating, Controls & Metering.

 A&B's inclusion in the scheme will give prospective Clients the reassurance that projects are registered, monitored and assessed for compliance. Clients should also have confidence that as registered member with an approved Energy Supervisor, A&B Engineering will be independently inspected and certified as competent to carry out their work. The scheme will compliment A&B Engineering's Competent Person Status for works under Part P of the Building Regulations.
