Introduction:
Hope Street Hotel is a forty eight room four star hotel located in the cosmopolitan area of the city centre. The contempary style of this magnificent hotel is in stark contrast to the alternative hotel accomodation in the city.
Mechanical
The hotel has a central basement plant-room incorporating two gas fired combination boilers which serve the under-floor heating system installed on every level of the hotel and restaurant, they also produce the hot water for all the en-suite bathrooms, toilet areas, bars and kitchen. The conference, banqueting and dinning areas have the addition of air conditioning and supply and extract ventilation systems, all of the systems are controlled via a BMS controls system.
A full public health drainage system including all the sanitary ware, toilet extract and rainwater systems was installed.
Electrical
A&B worked closely with the Architect and Client, to produce the right ambience and setting for one of the cities top hotels. From discreet background lighting in the basement piano bar to Cold Cathode feature lighting in the restaurant and bar at ground floor level all coming together to give the subtle and elegant feel desired by the client.
Within the rooms the electrical installation was finished with brushed steel flush mounted accessories and state of the art finger touch switching to bathroom areas.
Also included within the electrical installation where a fully addressable Fire Alarm system, monitored door access control, and a full security and CCTV system.
In keeping with the Liverpool City Council Night Vision concept careful consideration was given to the external lighting of the building and afforded by compact yet effective LED luminaries blended into the building fabric to illuminate the exterior of the building, giving exceptional results allowing the Hotel to stand out from the crowd.
