Introduction:
The West tower development is a 40 storey building incorporating 5 floors of high spec office space from ground to 4th floor and 123No apartments from the 5th to the 39th floor. There are penthouse suites with balconies from level 35 upwards with a magnificent duplex apartment at level 38 & 39.
Mechanical:
All the apartments have an individually controlled single zone heating and cooling facility with the condensers mounted on alternate floors and ducted out to atmosphere, the hot water being supplied by electric unvented indirect storage cylinders, and each apartment having mains cold water supply, whole house ventilation system and a full compliant above ground public health drainage system for all the sanitary appliances. The major plant and the main water booster sets are located within the basement area, including residential break tanks and concrete tanks for the wet riser fire fighting system, there is also an automated smoke extraction system and landlord building management. The 5 floors of office accommodation including a ground floor reception area has been fitted out for the new head quarters for the Liverpool office of the client the "Beetham Organisation" .All the office suites are fully air conditioned with tea rooms and interior architect designed washroom facilities. The 5 floors of office space also include a special car stacker system for car parking which has a water mist sprinkler fire fighting system installed.
Electrical:
A&B Engineering has been responsible for the complete electrical installation to this prestigious addition to the Liverpool skyline and water front. Electrical works include complete and extensive specifically designed lighting installations to all apartments, landlord's areas, five floors of high specification offices, external areas at ground floor and mounted to the building, duplex penthouse and of cause the 34th sky bar and restaurant. The office, external and sky bar lighting being controlled via a mode lighting system. Data installation, Sat / TV / FM / BT telephone installation, Fire alarm system include PA/VA to sky bar, supplies to car stacker system, Installation of a generator for preservation of supplies to life systems, CCTV / Security / Door Access system, communications between ground floor ‘Meet and Greet' area and 34th floor sky bar, Audio and Visual installation to sky bar and penthouse, a complete package sub station / LV switchpanel and LV distribution throughout the development
