Introduction:
The new department store, which is the anchor tenant of the Met Quarter development, has a full compliment of M&E services. The services compliment the three storeys of cool, spacious and minimal interior design desired by Flannels to create the perfect environment to shop.
Mechanical:
Heating and cooling throughout the store is achieved via the installation of fully automatic air conditioning cassette system. A new air handling unit located on the roof plant area provides supply and extract air to the store. A new domestic services installation has also been installed to feed the staff and public toilet areas.
Electrical:
A complete electrical fit out to the new department store was installed by A&B including general, emergency and feature lighting associated within a retail outlet. Included within the general power section of works provision was made for the integration and installation of a fully functial surround sound system.
A comprehensive security and alarm installation was also provided together with a full telecoms and data package interfaced with the stores EPOS system.
