Introduction:
A&B are delighted to have completed their first JJB Health Club in November 2007. In partnership with Styles & Wood we are hopeful that this will be the first of many JJB Health Clubs throughout the country.
Mechanical:
The gym, aerobics, lounge and changing areas are fully air conditioned via ducted cassettes or ceiling mounted cassettes as well as having supply and extract ventilation. The hot water for the changing facilities is produced within the ground floor plant-room from two boilers complete with an attached hot water storage cylinder. The plant-room areas also house the pool air handling equipment to provide the correct environmental conditions, the pool water is heated from the two boilers via plate heater exchanger all the systems are controlled via the BMS Controls system.
A full public health drainage system including all the sanitary ware, toilet extract and rainwater systems was installed.
Electrical:
The electrical installation within the new JJB Fitness Club, Bromborough was to install and integrate lighting and power for the use of gym equipment. The general lighting within the building is controlled utilizing a Tebis Lighting control system, which enables switched zoning of lighting and minimises the use of local switches.
Also incorporated within the building were the following systems; A full addressable Fire Alarm, which on activation isolates all control systems i.e. HVAC ControlPanel, Sound Systems, Lift, Escalators and Air Conditioning etc.
