Meet Ilyas Hamid ~ Our Sustainability Manager

Welcoming Ilyas Hamid – Our Sustainability and Environmental Manager.

We are proud to announce that Ilyas Hamid joined A&B Engineering in 2024 as our Sustainability and Environmental Manager. This key appointment reflects our growing commitment to climate action, low-carbon design, and environmental innovation.

With a Master’s degree in Climate Change & Sustainability and a background in engineering, Ilyas brings both technical expertise and a genuine passion for driving meaningful change. His skill set perfectly aligns with our mission to embed sustainability at the heart of everything we do.

Based within our Design Department, Ilyas plays an integral role in delivering low-carbon building solutions. He contributes to our Thermal Modelling Team by developing SBEM calculations and producing Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for complex and sustainability-led projects.

His strong proficiency in Revit Design, combined with a deep understanding of building performance, enhances our ability to meet the highest environmental standards.

As Sustainability Manager, Ilyas leads the analysis and documentation of our Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions, helping us track progress toward our net-zero targets. He also manages our Carbon Library and supports the development of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), ensuring transparency and continuous improvement across all our projects.
